Jana Kramer is going back to her acting roots and is set to appear on Chicago Fire in a mysterious new role. The 38-year-old One Tree Hill alum, who played Alex Dupre on the CW series, shared some photos from the set of NBC's firefighter series. In the photos, she hung out with Taylor Kinney, who plays Lieutenant Kelly Severide. "Instagram VS reality. So much fun filming Chicago Fire," Kramer wrote in the post's caption. "The kindest crew and cast around!"

At this time, no details are known about Kramer's role, but an attempt to speculate based on her sleek pantsuit and the office setting she appears to be working in could mean she is playing a lawyer or some other type of legal personnel. It is also unclear if this will be a guest-starring role or something more significant. In the comments of the Dancing with the Stars alum's new post, DWTS judge Carrie Ann Iniba exclaimed, "That is one of my favorite shows! I watch the Chicagos every Wednesday!" So, it is probably safe to say that Kramer will have some diehard fans watching when her Chicago Fire episode debuts.

The news of Kramer's Chicago Fire casting some just weeks after she made headlines for sharing a "mortifying" and "embarrassing" story from when she briefly dated 2022's Sexiest Man Alive, Chris Evans, 41. The pair went on "a few dates" a decade ago, but she thinks he may have ghosted her for having "asparagus pee."

"To this day I'm actually sort of mortified ... this is so embarrassing," Kramer said in a November episode of her Whine Down With Jana Kramer podcast. The country singer recalled going to Evans' home for a "sleepover" while he had some friends visiting, and that's when things went awry. "And so I had asparagus for dinner that night so I went to the bathroom and he immediately went after me," she said.

Kramer recalled, "The last interaction that I remember is him going into the bathroom after I just went to the bathroom with asparagus pee and never hearing from him again." She added, "I did the asparagus walk of shame out of his house." The ACM Awards winner explained that she and the Captain America actor "didn't hook up that night," but added that he was a "great kisser" and "super sexy." Chicago Fire returns Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 9 pm ET.
