Our stretch of warm weather rolls on

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Record-breaking high temperatures will be possible again today as the majority of Tri-State residents make it up to the low 80s. For reference, Dothan’s record for this date (December 8th) is 79. Partly cloudy skies will prevail once the fog from this morning clears out.

We’ll begin Friday near the 60-degree mark with more dense fog. A mix of sun and clouds can be expected after the fog dissipates. We’ll reach the upper 70s for afternoon highs, so it’s not out of the question that we could break or tie another record or two.

We’ll wake up around 60 again on Saturday and end up in the mid 70s under partly sunny skies. An isolated shower will remain possible.

Sunday will have a 40% chance for showers and a storm or two as a shortwave zips through the region. Expect to rise from the mid 50s into the more seasonable low 70s for afternoon highs.

Monday and Tuesday will be dry outside of an isolated shower and feature a good bit of cloud cover. Temperatures around normal will continue as highs reach the low 70s both afternoons and lows fall to the 50s both nights.

Wednesday will have a 60% chance for showers and storms, the majority of which will come later in the day with our next cold front. Early indications suggest that some of the storms could be on the strong to possibly severe side, so stay tuned for further updates as we get closer! We’ll reach the low 70s again after beginning the morning in the mid 50s.
