Police in Mesquite are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in a residential neighborhood Monday night.
Officers were called out to Mulberry Lane just before 11:30pm. They found a vehicle that had been abandoned in the road. The door was open and had several bullet holes.
Officers searching the area found 19-year-old Mitchell Wilson of Mesquite in the backyard of a nearby home. He had a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.
