Snow may mix in north of the QC Friday morning

QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:

Thursday evening a rain system will spread in from the southwest. The rain could possibly begin mixed with some wet snowflakes or sleet north of

Highway 30 as it develops. The system will wind down Friday morning with some wet snow likely north of Hwy. 30 but especially along the Hwy. 20 corridor where 1 to 2

inches of snow could fall. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Dubuque and Jo Daviess Counties into Friday morning. The weekend looks mostly cloudy skies with

another system of mainly scattered sprinkles possibly moving in Saturday. Tuesday of next week another system will bring widespread rain into early Wednesday. Highs

remain in the 40s with lows in the 30s for some milder than average weather keeping its hold on the QCA! Thursday we could see flurries with highs back to the 30s.
