The funeral for Captain Robert Moore is Saturday, December 17 at 1 p.m. at the KHS Gymnasium.
Visitation begins there at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Powell Funeral and Cremation Services of Kennett is in charge of the arrangements.
Captain Moore died after suffering a medical emergency several hours following a response to a reported structure fire.
According to KFD, Moore began his career as a part-time firefighter with the Kennett Fire Department in September, 1992 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in November 1995. He accepted a full-time position as a Police Officer with the Kennett Police Department in May 2000, and he continued to serve as a part-time firefighter. In May 2005, Captain Moore accepted a full-time position with the Fire Department and has continued to also serve as a part-time Police Officer. Robert was promoted to the rank of Captain in August 2019.
