ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—An Enterprise church congregation is asking the public to donate “unwanted” jackets and coats
for the economically challenged in the community.
With the possibility of much colder temperatures later next week, John’s Chapel AME church volunteers
will host its annual “Christmas Give-Away” on Saturday, December 17th.
But, church elders’ say they’re concerned with the number of folks, especially children and senior citizens
without proper clothing for the winter season.
With “high transmission” of respiratory issues like RS, the flu, and COVID. They are asking those who
new or “slightly used” coats to drop off at the church located on the Geneva Highway.
On Thursday afternoon, December 15th the church will accept winter wear donations.
They’ll be given away on that Saturday, December 17th from nine in the morning till noon.
