CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Tennessee healthcare company has attempted to explain claims of 30 to 40 employees at several of its urgent care locations not being paid in months.

Healthcare Solutions is the parent company of Advance Care Medical, which is located in Clarksville, Columbia, and Chattanooga. A spokesperson said the company was blindsided by the claims by workers who have been seeking answers about their pay for nearly a month.

Employees at the Clarksville location said they have had to cut hours or close their doors early because of missed paychecks. Meanwhile, patients are not getting the care they need.

Some employees said they are working two to three other jobs to make up the money around the holidays.

When asked why employees are not getting paid, Healthcare Solutions had this response:

“We’ve made the changes we need to make,” Healthcare Solutions Chief Marketing Officer Jayson McKenna said. “We still need to go into an investigative type of approach here because there’s so much information here, that we were blindsided with.”

McKenna offered this response when employees will see their paychecks:

“I really don’t know...I know the company has informed that employees, I believe at the Clarksville location, received money this week and will continue to receive money,” McKenna said.

McKenna was asked if he could confirm all that the employees at the Clarksville location were paid, and he replied: “I can’t.”

Employees said they have contacted management, but still have not received their paychecks.
