LPGA Q-Series teeing off at Highland Oaks

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Wiregrass is playing to host to the LPGA for the second year in a row.

Week two of the LPGA’s qualifying series is teeing off at Highland Oaks Golf Course in Dothan.

75 of the best female golfers in the world, representing 26 countries, will tee off Thursday for rounds five through eight of the two week event.

Rounds one through four were held at Magnolia Grove in Mobile last week.

The top 45 finishers in ties will graduate to the LPGA Tour for the 2023 season.

German golfer Isi Gabsa hopes to improve her status on the LPGA tour.

“The course is in great shape, the greens are really good,” Gabsa said.

Visitors are encouraged to head to Highland Oaks this week to watch the tournament, free of charge.
