A Reno man accused of multiple vehicle burglaries has been arrested, the Northern Nevada Repeat Offender (ROP) announced Wednesday evening.
According to the Sparks Police Department, the ROP team learned about multiple vehicle burglaries taking place at a fitness center located at the 8000 block of South Virginia St. in Reno. Investigation identified 51-year-old Russell Garner from Reno as the suspect. Garner was arrested without incident and booked at the Washoe County Sheriff's Office jail.
Garner was arrested for multiple counts of:
- Vehicle burglary
- Obtaining money under false pretenses
- Identity theft
- Credit card fraud
In addition to the charges listed above, the Nevada Parole and Probation (NV P&P) placed a probation hold on Garner for probation violations.
Authorities are reminding the public to not keep valuables in their vehicles and to always lock their doors, this may not prevent vehicle burglary but it can prevent ID theft and CC fraud.
No additional information will be release at this time.
