UPDATE: Portland police say Craig Hollowell is safe in a local hospital. They say medical staff at the hospital notified them that Craig was in the hospital and being cared for after they saw news coverage reporting he was missing.
Police say they checked hospitals as part of their missing persons protocol but medical staff did not know the name they had in their system was incorrect until they saw the media coverage.

Portland police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 53-year-old man who is missing and endangered.
Craig Hollowell was last seen by family Dec. 4 at around 4:30 p.m.
He lives in the Buckman neighborhood but often stays with family in the Montavilla neighborhood.
Police say he has health concerns and is unable to manage his medications. They say he had a stroke two years ago and has a child-like demeanor when he’s not taking his medications.
Craig is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.
He’s balding on top of his head and has black and gray hair on the sides. He also has a mostly gray short-cropped goatee.
He moves slowly and uses a walker.
He may be wearing light colored denim pants and shirt, and white Nike Air Jordans, size 14.
He’ll likely know his name but not his address. He doesn’t carry a cellphone or money.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
