SHIRLEY’S WAY. THAT’S LOCATED ON DIXIE HIGHWAY WAY. A FIRST OF ITS KIND HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANT SOUNDS WILL HAPPEN LATER THIS MONTH AND WEST LOUISVILLE ONE WEST. A DRIVE THRU EVENT WILL BE HELD AT SHAWNEE PARK FROM SIX UNTIL EIGHT ON DECEMBER 16TH TO THE 18TH. THE HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE WILL HAVE MUSIC AND DISPLAY MOR

Originally planned for last year, 200,000 lights will soon light up west Louisville for a new holiday show.Next week will be the first annual Winter Wonderland in Shawnee Park.The free drive-thru experience is hosted by community development nonprofit OneWest. They had planned the show for 2021, but when tornadoes ravaged western Kentucky, they said local resources were depleted to help there.This year, it'll happen Dec. 16-18 from 6-10 p.m.There will be lights, chorus performances, beverages and more."We are thrilled to finally put this event into action," said Jessica Jackson, Shawnee resident and OneWest board member, in a news release. "It’s been something we have been planning for several years now, and we are excited to share it with the city of Louisville. Our theme is ‘A Season of Peace’ and OneWest is looking forward to everyone in the community coming together in harmony and celebration."Organizers said they will need volunteers.
