A wanted man barricaded inside a shed at a Gresham home Wednesday afternoon has surrendered without incident, police officials said, adding that the suspect fired several shots while inside the structure.
According to Gresham police, at about 3:15 p.m., law enforcement approached a 47-year-old man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in the backyard of a home in the 2000 block of Northeast 36th Court.

The suspect barricaded himself inside a shed, and officers said they “heard the suspect fire multiple shots from inside.”
No officers were hurt.
Police identified the suspect as Thomas Justin Gutz.
"Normally, in this neighborhood, it's a pretty decent neighborhood, but that corner right there, specifically, almost every other weekend, the guy's discharging firearms, so I'm not sure what's going on over there or why they haven't arrested him indefinitely," said Justin Eastes, who lives nearby.
The owners of the property said Gutz was renting from them, but they didn't know he was a wanted man.
