A Bay Shore man was formally charged with manslaughter Wednesday in a fatal crash on the Southern State Parkway.
Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney says Jhonny Chavarria-Argueta was speeding while driving drunk in September.
That is when the 20-year-old allegedly lost control of the car and hit the median guardrail, causing the car to flip.
Tierney says the front seat passenger was ejected and later died from her injuries.
