Shanghai Disneyland Reopening on December 8

The Shanghai Disneyland Resort has had a rough time staying open due to China’s “dynamic zero-COVID” strategy. The park, which reopened on November 25, closed four days later. Now, the park is being reopened on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

At this time, the park will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and some areas may be operating at a reduced capacity or closed to guests completely. It is best to refer to the Shanghai Disneyland app for the latest operational information.

The resort’s pandemic control measures will be updated in accordance with the latest local government guidelines and guests should check and strictly follow them.

For guests whose travel plans were impacted during the closure period, it is recommended that they contact the original purchase channel with your inquiries or request a refund or exchange.

Park Ticket Information

Guests with tickets to visit Shanghai Disneyland on and/or from November 29, 2022, throughout the time the Park is closed may choose to visit the park on any other day within the next six months from the park’s reopening day. Tickets can be redeemed at the park entrance turnstiles with the original Government Identity Card or Travel Document that was used to purchase the original tickets on the day of the guest’s next visit, and a reservation will not be required.

The extended dated ticket will only include park admission upon redemption at the turnstile. Any other benefits associated with the park admission will not be included. If a guest is holding a dated ticket product that also includes other benefits, such as a meal coupon, they may choose to refund the entire order via the original purchase source.

Guests will be entitled to a refund on their tickets if they cannot visit the park within the next six months. Guests who purchased their tickets through the Shanghai Disney Resort Official Website, App, WeChat Account, the Resort Reservation Center, the Resort’s Official Fliggy Flagship Store, or the Official Jingdong Flagship Store, can request a refund through the resort’s official app. For guests who have purchased the tickets through other official channels, please contact the original ticket purchase channel to request a refund or follow the instructions at the end of this notice.

Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass holders whose pass is still valid on and after November 29, 2022 will be extended. Disney will notify those guests shortly.
