IRVING, TX (1080 KRLD) - The Irving Police Department has plans to increase traffic enforcement following a series of crashes involving their squad cars.
Irving PD released a statement to bring awareness to officer-involved accidents and to notify the public of an increase in DWI initiatives over the holidays.
The first accident seen in the video was caused after a driver was late for work and not paying attention to the road, according to Irving PD, while the second was a result of a DWI.
They also noted that the department has seen an increase in both DWIs and aggressive driving, and encouraged drivers to maintain focus on the road.
