December 6, 2022 – About 30 students settled in for an evening of meditative painting on December 5 in Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Rosenau Atrium.

The free event, hosted by The Studio and the Office for Student Services, was offered in connection with The Studio event held earlier in the day titled Creativity and the brain: How the arts can shape well-being. The painting event was led by Caroline Keroack, PhD ’22. Keroack, whose degree was in Biological Sciences in Public Health, is also an artist who uses creativity as an outlet to deal with stress, and who developed the meditative painting workshop to help others do the same. The event featured art supplies, light refreshments, and soft music—and the students got to take the art they created home with them.
