Police: Norwalk man resigned from job, struck former employee with company vehicle
Police say a Norwalk man struck an employee with a company vehicle after resigning from a job in Middlefield.
Jeremy Jordan, 41 was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, use of a car without permission, and disorderly conduct.
Police say Jordan resigned from his job at a business on Industrial Park Access Road in Middlefield on Dec. 5.
After Jordan resigned, police say he took a company car from the parking lot and struck an employee who attempted to stop him from leaving with the vehicle.
The employee was transported to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Jordan later turned himself in to police after driving the company car to a rest area off I-95 in New Canaan.
Police say employees at the job told officials they offered Jordan another transportation option before he took off with the work vehicle.
Troopers transported Jordan to Troop F State Police where he was booked and later released on a $10,000 bond.
