MATTERS AND MAKES THE STORYTELLING STRONGER. TODAY - WE'RE LEARNING ABOUT AN INITIATIVE TO GET MAINERS ON TRACK WHEN IT COMES TO CANCER SCREENINGS... WE'RE HERE WITH LINDA HALLERAN FROM TOWN AND COUNTRY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION - TO TALK ABOUT THE "CHECK ME" CAMPAIGN... SO LINDA, WHAT IS THE CAMPAIGN? IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MAJOR MEDIA NETWORKS INCLUDING WMTW, AND MCF, TOWN & COUNTRY HAS PROMOTED THEIR 'CHECK ME' CAMPAIGN OVER THE LAST MONTH TO ENCOURAGE MAINERS TO CHECK IN WITH THEIR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TO IDENTIFY ANY CANCER SCREENINGS THAT MAY BE LAGGING BEHIND. Maine's Total Coverage has partnered with the Maine Cancer Foundation to highlight a different issue relating to cancer care and cancer patients in Maine each month.
