According to a major league source, the Phillies' president of baseball operations is on the verge of signing reliever Matt Strahm to a two-year, $15 million deal.
Strahm spent 2022 with the Red Sox after signing a one-year, $3 million deal with the club.
The 31-year-old North Dakota native made 50 appearances with the Red Sox, finishing with a 3.83 ERA along with a .224 batting average and .664 OPS against.
