Cavalier has been one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the Panhandle this season. A 1,000-yard rusher who is equally as adept at throwing the ball, he's helped guide the Wildcat offense all the way to the state semifinals for the eighth time in nine years.

He did it in style last week against Wall.

Cavalier was sensational against the Hawks. He ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns while throwing for 231 yards and four touchdowns in the 45-10 win. The junior was responsible for all six touchdowns the Wildcats scored. It was truly a dominant effort.

"He's been a game-changer for us this year," head coach Chris Koetting said after the game. "Running, passing, leadership, catching punts, he'll do anything. He does it all. He's just a dynamic player and I'm glad he's on our team."

Pampa's Berlin Bartlett

Bartlett was one of the top players in the Panhandle all of last year. It's why she made the Amarillo Globe-News Super Team at the end of the season and made the preseason Super Team heading into this year.

She's been living up to those accolades so far in 2022.

Bartlett was sensational last week. She was named to the All-Tournament team at New Home for her play. She scored 20 points against Littlefield, 11 against New Home, 21 against White Deer, and 20 against Floydada. She added 17 points in a non-district match against Wellington in an all-around outstanding week.

In addition to averaging 16.8 points per game, she hauled in five rebounds per game and collected four steals per contest. The Lady Harvesters went 4-2 as they finished in third place in the tournament.

"More than just scoring, she is an amazing athlete," head coach Clint Watson said. "Her non-stop motor helps set the tone for all games. She helps lead the team in all aspects of the game. Her desire to win every game helped propel us this past weekend in the New Home Tournament."
