The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday that a man shot three members of his fiancee's family in a Fall River home before taking his own life.
Police said they responded at 3:05 a.m. to a residence at 511 Bank St. after receiving a 911 call.
The district attorney's office said two men were dead, including the suspected shooter, who apparently took his own life.
The shooter was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Jean Baptiste.
Jean Baptiste's fiancee was the one who made the 911 call, according to the DA's office.
Investigators said the fiancee's family had been living in Jean Baptiste's home for the past several months.
On Tuesday night, prosecutors said Jean Baptiste told his fiancee that he was unhappy with the arrangement.
Investigators said Jean Baptiste, while holding a gun, told the family to leave immediately.
According to the investigation's narrative, 69-year-old Hubert Labasquin, the fiancee’s father, was shot during a physical struggle.

Jean Baptiste is accused of also shooting his fiancee’s 59-year-old mother and her 25-year-old sister.
Both women were being treated at a hospital, and they were expected to survive.
Labasquin was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Prosecutors said Jean Baptiste shot himself following the altercations.
He was rushed to Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, where he was pronounced dead.
A neighbor said she didn’t hear anything at the time, but she later saw blood on her front door and doorbell.
"When I was leaving to bring my kids to school and I turned around to shut the door, I noticed the blood and there was blood on the glass, too," said Christine Fernandes, a neighbor. "I was just completely shocked. It makes me wonder who was at my door and why. Was it somebody asking for help? Or was it the shooter?"
Authorities said the shooter did have a valid license to carry.
