Borussia Dortmund are said to be in talks with Mohammed Kudus’ agent ahead of a potential move for the talented Ajax attacking midfielder.

Mohammed Kudus is being heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, with SportBILD claiming that sporting director Sebastian Kehl has already been in contact with his agent. The magazine claims that the Black and Yellows are interested in signing the highly rated Ajax player, and things are now getting more serious between the two parties.

SportBILD add that Ajax will demand a transfer fee of more than 20 million euros for Kudus, who is coming off an impressive World Cup campaign with Ghana. The 22 year old scored two goals for Ghana in Qatar as they came close to upsetting the odds and reaching the round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Kudus is also enjoying an impressive breakthrough campaign with Ajax, and has scored ten goals in 21 appearances for the Dutch side. Four of those goals came in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Mohammed Kudus joined Ajax from Danish club Nordsjaelland in 2020 and has established himself as one of their most important players this season. He is primarily an attacking midfielder, but is also capable of playing in central midfield, on the wing, and in the false nine role.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in signing Kudus. But the fact that outgoing Ghana head coach Otto Addo works at Borussia Dortmund as a talent coach could play into the German club’s hands as they look to win the race for the attacking midfielder’s signature.
