HILLSDALE COUNTY — The Associated Press released their 2022 8-Player All-State list for Michigan high school football. Athletes around the state of Michigan were submitted for the honor.

This year. several players from surrounding counties found themselves on the list, including players from Lenawee Christian and Colon. One player from Hillsdale County was honored with a spot on the 2022 list.

Litchfield junior Miguel Pedroza earned AP All-State honorable mention honors at wide receiver. He has racked up several honors for his efforts in helping set new school records for his team this fall sports season. Pedroza has also earned first-team All-Conference honors and All-Area Dream Team honors.

Pedroza was a key component to the record-breaking offense under coach Michael Langhann. The Terriers set a new record for most points scored in a single season, and their 6-2 record was the first winning season since 2011.

Pedroza set the school record for receptions in a single game (13) and in a single season (58). He also set the school record for most receiving yards in a single season (946). He also had 98 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Pedroza also had 326 return yards in seven attempts and three touchdowns.
