COEUR d’ALENE — Teagan Colvin scored 10 of her 17 points in the second half as the Coeur d’Alene Vikings pulled away in the second half to beat the Sandpoint Bulldogs 73-39 in the Inland Empire League opener for both teams Tuesday night at Viking Court.

Madi Symons added 14 points, Kendall Omlin 10 for Coeur d’Alene (5-0), which led 33-23 at halftime.

Karlie Banks scored 14 points to lead Sandpoint (2-2), which travels to Post Falls on Friday.

Coeur d’Alene is home vs. Moscow on Friday.

Junior Kamryn Pickford scored 13 points, junior Sophia Zufelt 12 points for Lake City (8-0, 2-0 IEL), which hosts Lakeland on Dec. 15.

PULLMAN — As the games go by, the Tigers, with only one senior, are still learning to play as a group.

Tuesday was a good step in that direction.

Freshman Malia Miller scored 12 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter and sophomore Marissa Needs scored 12 of her 15 in the first half as the Tigers beat the Greyhounds in a nonleague game.

“We played really well as a team,” Timberlake coach Matt Miller said. “We were making better reads and getting the ball to the open player. Defensively, we did a good job of pressuring the ball and being on the same page as a team.”

Timberlake (4-0) hosts Riverside on Thursday.

Sehra Singh scored eight points for Pullman (0-2).
