Crews And Breakker Go Fishing, D'Angelo Returns To The Ring | NXT Fight Size

Here's your Fight Size update following WWE NXT on December 6, 2022:

- NXT Champion Bron Breakker took a fishing trip ahead of NXT Deadline, and he was joined by Apollo Crews, his challenger on Saturday. Crews discussed Breakker's run with the gold and noted that if Breakker is so tired of the grind, he should hand over the title. Breakker declined, and both men agreed that their match will be a banger.

- Tony D'Angelo returned to the ring and faced Xyon Quinn. D'Angelo defeated Quinn and grabbed a microphone after the bell. He said he gained new revenues and connections during his time away/ D'Angelo blamed Wes Lee for his injury. Lee came to the ring, and the NXT North American Champion told D'Angelo he has his eye on him. He told D'Angelo that he'd have to wait until he dealt with Dijak, but D'Angelo refused to do so. Dijak interrupted and make it clear that neither man could do anything to stop him. Lee and D'Angelo briefly brawled, and "The Don of NXT" stood tall.

- In a video message, SCRYPTS said NXT is his new home, and he will target the chosen ones.

- NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Prince Wilson) delivered their Christmas story. They said they wrote it themselves. The do started to read the story and referenced how their "sacks" were full of gifts from the fans. They said they're waiting for a team who can match them in the ring. Pretty Deadly said they will never lose the gold. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) interrupted and wondered who Pretty Deadly would defend the gold against at NXT Deadline. They noted that Pretty Deadly haven't beaten them and challenged the champions to a match. The two teams brawled, and The New Day dropped the champions with kicks. WWE later announced the match for NXT Deadline.

- NXT kicked off with high-profile Triple Threat Match where Von Wagner faced Andre Chase and Axiom. The winner would clinch the final spot in the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline. Before the bell, Thea Hail and Duke Hudson hyped Chase up. Once the bell rang, Chase took the fight to Wagner, but the big man overpowered him. Axiom and Chase teamed up, hoping to level the playing field. In the end, Axiom scored the upset win by pinning Wagner.

- In the main event, Indi Hartwell faced Wendy Choo and Fallon Henley. Hartwell won the hard-fought contest to earn her spot in the Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline. After the match, she confronted NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose and vowed to dethrone her after she wins the Iron Survivor Challenge.

- Lyra Valkyria announced that she will arrive on NXT next week

.- A video package highlighted Cora Jade, and she made it clear that she'll do whatever it takes to get to the top.

- Before her match, Isla Dawn said she hoped Alba Fyre would be watching. She faced Thea Hail and scored a dominant victory. Fyre attacked Dawn after the match, but she escaped. WWE then announced that they will face off at NXT Deadline.

- Backstage, Julius Creed learned that he was cleared to compete. Ivy Nile told the trainer to check his ribs. When he did, he discovered extensive bruising, and he reversed his decision. Later, Grayson Montana was in the ring for a match, and Veer Mahaan and Sanga attacked him before the bell. Javier Bernal came to the ring, as he was scheduled to compete. Seeing Veer and Sanga, he faked an injury and left. Veer and Sanga made it clear that they will wait to face the Creed Brothers until they're 100%. Julius and Brutus showed up, and security held them back.

- In a TikTok segment, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen argued with Malik Blade & Edris Enofe. The two teams faced off later in the show. Von Wagner brawled with Odyssey Jones, who accompanied Enofe and Blade to the ring, in the closing moments. Briggs and Jensen then scored the win. After the match, Brooks Jensen revealed that Kiana James invited him to NXT Deadline.

- In footage that was recorded last week, Hank Walker made it clear that he wants to prove that he belongs in the ring, and Charlie Dempsey accepted the challenge. During the match, Drew Gulak walked down to ringside and started watching the match. Walker rallied, but Dempsey scored the win with the Regal Stretch.

- In video packages, Zoey Stark, Roxanne Perez, and Kiana James discussed the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline.

- In an interview, Javier Bernal was asked why he was looking over his shoulder. He said he's not scared of anything, and Indus Sher don't want anything to do with him. Ikemen Jiro walked by, and McKenzie Mitchell was asked to share his thoughts. Jiro called him a chicken.

- Grayson Waller hosted the Grayson Waller Effect with his fellow participants in the Men's Iron Survivor challenge. They traded verbal barbs, and the show ended with a brawl.

- In a WWE Digital Exclusive, The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) discussed their upcoming match with Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) and made it clear that they want to win the gold.
