A Waukee man was arrested Sunday for threatening violence against a Waukee woman with whom he lives.

Sean Michael Dorrian, 61, of 395 Fourth St., Waukee, was charged with second-degree harassment and two counts of violation of a no-contact order.

The incident began about 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Fourth Street, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with Dorrian, who “was extremely hostile” and made “multiple threats of violence against the victim” in the presence of officers, according to court records.

Dorrian “did specifically yell he would drag the victim out by her hair and physically harm the victim to get her out of the apartment,” according to court records.

The officers made contact with the victim, who “refused to leave or accept any offer of assistance” from law enforcement, according to court records.

The victim “rolled over” and told the officers that “she will just take what is coming. When asked what she meant, victim stated physical and mental harm,” according to court records.

When the officers asked the victim whether she believes that Dorrian will “do worse,” the victim said that “if she dies, she dies. She didn’t care,” according to court records.

Dorrian is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $3,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Dec. 14 in Dallas County District Court.

Dorrian was convicted of third-degree harassment in November 2022 in Polk County District Court. He was convicted of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in January 2022 in Polk County District Court. He was convicted of assault in January 2021 in Polk County District Court.
