The memorial service for Rebecca Dressler, 38, Halliday, North Dakota will be 2 pm CT Thursday, December 8, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City, ND.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Live streaming of the service may be found on the website.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm MT Saturday, December 10, at the Halliday City Hall, Halliday.

Rebecca Bernadette Johnson was born September 30, 1984 in Valley City, North Dakota the daughter of Ronald Johnson and Janice Eberle.  She attended school and graduated from Barnes County North School, rural Barnes County, North Dakota.  Rebecca went on to attend North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, ND, where she graduated with several degrees.  She graduated from North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND as a Registered Nurse.  Rebecca also attended Dickinson State Nursing Program and was currently working at Elbowoods Memorial Heath Center, Twin Buttes, ND.  She had also worked at Hilltop Home of Comfort, Killdeer, ND; worked as a travel nurse; and one of her favorites was the Dakota Women’s Correctional , New England, ND.

She was united in marriage to Trevor Dressler on October 12, 2013 in Mandan, North Dakota.  They made their home in Halliday.

She will be remembered for her quick wit and cheesy jokes.  Rebecca loved eating pickles and pickled carrots.  In her spare time she enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing darts.

Rebecca loved her dogs and all of her nieces and nephews.  She also had a special place in her heart for her grandmother, Luella Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, and her dogs Thor and Pepper; father-in-law, Butch Dressler (Special Friend Dawn Wolf), Dickinson, ND; sisters-in-law Cori (Nathan) Kindrix, Halliday and family Tayten Dressler, Phoenix and Ava Kindrix, Kyleen Dressler, Halliday and daughter Adyson; parents, Ronald Johnson, Adrian, ND and Janice Eberle, Fargo; brother Craig (Laurie) Johnson, Powell, Wyoming and family Bryce, Dylan and Jaxon; sister Jamie (Tyler) Pederson, Valley City, and family Elleanor, Abbigail, and Oliver; her many cousins and her work family.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Peggy Dressler; her grandparents and her dog Dixie.  Rebecca died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at her home.
