The Vancouver Fire Department on Tuesday donated coats to kids at Marshall Elementary School.
It’s a part of a nationwide effort called Operation Warm to get new coats to children in need.
They were joined by Fire Engine 8, the mayor, and even Santa Claus.
Organizers said they were happy to make a difference.
"This is the stuff that really matters to me. This is where you're actually truly helping somebody, and they don't know, they don’t know where it came from. But we're really changing their self-esteem and allowing them to stay warm so they can focus on school instead of just, how am I going to stay warm during the winter," said Kady Bieber, probationary captain with the Vancouver Fire Department.
