Woman lying on Phoenix street dies in hit-and-run crash, police say

PEORIA, Ariz. - A Phoenix man is arrested in connection with a beating in Peoria that left a teenager badly injured, according to officials with the Peoria Police Department. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Hudson C. Calixto, was arrested on Jan. 29. According to court documents we obtained, an investigation into the beating incident began on Jan. 28, when Peoria Police officers responded to Honor Health Deer Valley for a report of an aggravated assault of a 16-year-old boy.

PHOENIX - Two Phoenix Police officers seen on video hitting and kicking a suspect inside a convenience store will not be charged. The incident happened on Oct. 27 of last year at a QuikTrip convenience store near 59th Avenue and Buckeye Road after police say a 38-year-old Harry Denman shot at the officers' patrol car.

A woman is accused of stealing an ambulance from the Buckeye Valley Fire District on Sunday. Police say it was stolen in the morning from the hospital near 92nd Avenue and Thomas Road. That's where Banner Estrella Medical Center is located.

ELOY, Ariz. - An Eloy man has been arrested, according to Eloy Police, for making threats to blow up a number of establishments within the South Central Arizona city. In a statement, officials with Eloy Police say Marcus Myers made the threats during the afternoon hours of Jan. 26. Myers allegedly made three calls, and threatened to blow up the Eloy Police Department, as well as a discount retailer in Eloy and a drug store in Casa Grande, which is located to the north of Eloy.

The tiger cub, according to police, was found in a home in Phoenix. In addition, other exotic animals were also found inside the home. A person has been arrested in connection with the tiger cub's keeping. FOX 10's Irene Snyder reports.

The war over water in the Rio Verde Foothills community came to a head on Jan. 29 as residents met with officials for answers about why they're being left high and dry. It comes after Scottsdale cut off the water supply to its neighboring community. FOX 10's Lauren Clark has the story.
