Herschel Walker U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker speaks during a campaign stop on Thursday November 18, 2022 in the parking lot of Savannah Mall in Savannah Georgia.

As former Georgia Bulldogs star running back Herschel Walker puts the finishing touches on his Georgia senate campaign, it appears he might not know exactly what he’s running for, or the political ramifications.

During an interview with Politico, Herschel Walker didn’t seem to understand which chamber of Congress he was running for. He also seemed to think that the outcome of the Georgia senate race would determine the party’s control over the Senate.

“They’re not [less motivated] because they know right now that the House will be even so they don’t want to understand what is happening right now,” he said of voters. “You get the House, you get the committees. You get all the committees even, they just stall things within there. So if we keep a check on Joe Biden, we just going to keep a check on him.”

Walker is running for Senate, of course, and Tuesday’s race does not determine which party will hold a majority in the Senate. Republicans control House and Democrats will control the Senate no matter what happens in Georgia’s Senate election.

This isn’t the first time Walker has rattled off some absurd, nonsensical comments. He’s made some insane statements about the air, he seems to have a weird vendetta against trees. apparently thinks there are 51 states, and he has a bizarre opinion about werewolves and vampires.

He will soon find out whether or not he is a United States senator.
