BHS girls ride Whitaker to 60-27 win over Felicity

FELICITY — Ainsley Whitaker led Blanchester to a 60-27 win over Felicity Monday in SBAAC National Division girls basketball.

Whitaker had 20 points, 13 rebounds and three steals as the Wildcats improved to 3-2 overall, 2-1 in the National Division.

Coach Pete Jackson said his team’s bench also played a key role in the win.

“I had a few starters get in foul trouble early and my girls that came off the bench played very well,” he said.

Felicity has lost five straight games since a season-opening win against St. Bernard.

Karlee Tipton had 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block for BHS. Madi Tipton contributed eight points, two rebounds and a steal.

Tori Potts had seven points, five rebounds, three assists, five steals and two blocked shots in a strong all-around performance. Kaylee Coyle had three points, six rebounds and four steals.

Gracie Roy had six points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Macey Waldron totaled four points, five rebounds, an assist and three steals. Alayna Davenport tossed in a free throw to round out the scoring.
