Drug abuse: Edgerton Road
On Nov. 11, police observed a blue Jeep Patriot traveling on Edgerton Road. Its owner had a suspended license.
When the officer advised the driver regarding the reason for the stop, the man was shocked to hear that his license was suspended.
After being told that the Jeep was going to be towed, the driver admitted that there was an orange bowl and a Darth Vader grinder in the glove box.
The man was cited for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license.
Speeding with drugs: Royalton Road
On Nov. 11, police observed a speeding black Chevrolet Silverado traveling east on Royalton Road.
The officer caught up with the Toledo driver in the Arby’s parking lot. While talking to the man, who it turned out was an Uber driver, the officer smelled marijuana and observed flakes on his shirt.
Asked about the odor, the driver said there wasn’t really anything in the Chevy. After searching the Silverado, police found marijuana, cigarillo wrappers, a grinder, THC residue and a joint.
The driver was cited for drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
Stolen vehicle: Ridgedale Drive
On Nov. 11, police were dispatched to a Ridgedale Drive address regarding a vehicle theft.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said her grandfather’s Dodge Ram was missing from the driveway. She suspected that her brother had taken the truck.
However, he said an acquaintance -- to whom the brother owed $80 -- took the Dodge. The brother was charged with theft. Police are investigating.
