Owen Drain, 37, was originally charged with kidnapping in connection with a 2019 incident involving a 30-year-old woman, but that charge was dropped.
Drain was sentenced last Friday in Federal Court in Manhattan to a weapons charge in the advancement of a crime, according to court documents.
The sentencing judge recommended that Drain participate in a drug treatment program.
After his sentence, Drain will be on probation for three years.
