Rockdale County man sees Most Wanted Facebook post, comments, is arrested

It’s a good way for a local law enforcement agency to get the word out on their Most Wanted suspects - post about it on social media.

Turns out in Rockdale County, just checking the comments section can pay-off.

“Posted it, and somebody responded, ‘How about me.”

“A lot of times, people are being funny and do stuff like that, we don’t really pay attention. But when we actually ran that person’s name, we found that Mr. Spaulding in fact did have two warrants,” Adams tells WSB Radio.

Rockdale Sheriff’s Office deputy Darnesia Adams says her department saw the comment from the Facebook account of Christopher Spaulding.

The warrants were for felony violation of probation.

On its Facebook page, the sheriff’s office officially responded to Spaulding to say “You are correct, you have two warrants. We are on the way.”

Adams says it took only 24 hours to find and arrest Spaulding at his residence.

“Yes, it is a kind of smaller warrant and smaller infraction, but that does not mean they can’t get arrested.”

Adams says a post of the Top-10 Most Wanted is focused on finding those with the most serious charges - whether for murder, rape, armed robbery or others.

“Right now, we’re just trying to clear out those major names.”
