A man was killed Monday after police say he was struck by a vehicle at Ashlan and Blythe in Fresno.

The Fresno Police Department says officers were called to the intersection around 5:45 p.m. regarding a possible collision.

When officers arrived, they learned that a man identified as 64-year-old Singh Mann of Fresno was struck by a vehicle. It’s unknown if he was in the crosswalk.

According to investigators, the driver in the vehicle that struck the man is cooperating with police and was traveling west down Ashlan at about 30 MPH.

The intersection, police say, will be shut down for roughly 3-4 hours as officers finish their investigation.

During the investigation, officers say they took a man in custody for interfering with the crime scene.

According to a video captured by FOX26 News, both a man and woman can be seen in the area recording with their phones.

Officers then approached the couple and asked the two to leave the area as the scene remained under investigation.

Footage shows the woman leave but the man remained behind and was taken into custody by police. He was arrested, police say, for interfering with the crime scene.
