Lincoln East hosts therapy dogs for students

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln East students had a chance to mingle with some therapy dogs on Monday.

It was a part of the student council’s mental health week program.

The students at the high school had a chance to pet the dogs between classes and lunch.

With big tests coming up, the council wanted to make sure students had a way to de-stress.

“Finals are coming up in about two weeks, so this is a great way for people just to, while they’re getting all those last unit tests in, to just relax a bit,” said Summer Wolfe, co-chair of mental health week.

Also as part of the program, Lincoln East is partnering with Raising Cane’s near 56th Street and Old Cheney on Thursday.

If you go there from 4 to 8 p.m. and mention Lincoln East mental health week, your order will help Project 4:7.
