Family and friends of Jasmine Pace gathered in Coolidge Park Monday night for a vigil in her honor.
“If a light is extinguished, how do you keep the world a lit place? How do you keep it bright and beautiful?" says Travis Pace, Jasmine's father.

As rain poured down in Coolidge park, candlelight fluttered under the Market Street Bridge.
Loved ones of Jasmine Pace shared sweet memories of the woman who they say was a light.
"Jaz, you were an amazing person... I remember I was nervous doing the register and you told me everything was going to be alright," says one of Jasmine's former co-workers.
“She was a wonderful person, a wonderful friend. And her soul was just forever with God," says a childhood friend.
Childhood friends of Pace say they will never forget her voice.
“She did love to sing. She has always loved to sing," says another childhood friend.
It’s a voice that hundreds have already heard. Pace’s mother shared a video of her daughter singing.
The post reads “Sometimes you watch your kids (even the grown ones) do something so little but so sweet and it melts your heart."
Loved ones say Jasmine’s story has created a platform for other domestic violence and missing cases to be heard.
"Because Jazzy blew up so much, there's been pages that shared her info that other people have just shared. So all these other children and stuff that are missing and that are hurting, are getting a lot more attention and getting the community behind them."
At Coolidge park a Chattanooga community stands with the Pace family.
Now a story that has reached national and even international airwaves leaves a legacy of Jasmine Pace, a light that will never dim.
“Even if she's gone her light continues through us to finish her job, to keep making it a bright place," says Travis Pace. "May the family still be a bright place."

It’s pouring rain at Coolidge Park, but the family and friends of Jasmine Pace say that won’t stop them from honoring their loved one tonight.
“Rain or shine, the vigil is still on for tonight,” says the sister of Jasmine Pace.
The vigil is at 7p.m. under Market Street bridge right across from the carousel.
The family asks people to bring candles and lighters.
They also say to bring umbrellas and rain jackets to keep dry.
Dozens of social media posts memorialized the 22-year-old, whose body was found by police last Thursday near Suck Creek Road.
Described as the happiest girl you could meet, a beautiful woman, and an angel, the family now seeks justice after the arrest of Chen.
