'9-1-1' Not on Tonight, Fox Airing Holiday Special Instead

9-1-1: Lone Star finally returned for its fourth season last week. Since the season is starting that late in the 2022-2023 television cycle, there's a legitimate reason to think there will not be enough time for a crossover with the original 9-1-1. Showrunner Tim Minear said one is still on the way, and it will bring the two firefighting teams together in an unexpected way.

Dancing With the Stars opens with the same theme every week, meaning that there is a surprise additional celebrity appearance no one knows about. Matt Berry, who plays Laszlo Cravensworthon the hit FX series What We Do in the Shadows, performs for the brief theme and even yells "Hey!" during the introduction. Berry, 48, shared this information during the What We Do in the Shadows virtual panel at the 2021 PaleyFest.

That '70s Show lives on with That '90s Show, which picks up almost 20 years after the original show ended. Unfortunately, in that time span, a beloved character died off-screen. As noted from a couple of lines of dialog from Kitty Forman (Debra Jo Rupp), her mom, Bea Sigurdson, died between the shows' two time periods. Bea was played by the late TV icon Betty White, who died on Dec. 31, 2021, in four memorable episodes of the original show.

Modern Family co-creator Steven Levitan could not capture lightning in a bottle a second time with his showbiz comedy Reboot. Hulu canceled the new series on Monday after just one, eight-episode season reports Variety. The series starred Jackass veteran Johnny Knoxville, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom, and Key & Peele's Keegan-Michael Key.

The Mysterious Benedict Society has been canceled after two seasons, bringing an abrupt end to this burgeoning adventure series. The show premiered on Disney+ in 2021 and ran a second season in October of 2022, but according to co-creator Phil Hay it didn't earn a renewal. Hay broke the news to fans on Twitter on Saturday.

CNBC is moving out of the original primetime programming business, so Jay Leno's Garage was not the only show canceled last week. The NBCUniversal cable network, which focuses on financial news during the day, also canceled Money Court, a series co-hosted by Shark Tank judge Kevin O'Leary. Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel also starred in the series.

Don Stark, who returned to the role of Donna's father Bob Pinciotti in That '90s Show, spoke out about the death of Tanya Roberts, who played his on-screen wife Midge on That '70s Show. Roberts died on Jan. 4, 2021, at 71, after developing a urinary tract infection that advanced to sepsis. Stark, 68, said Roberts was at the set in spirit.

Sons of Anarchy stars Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman recently reunited, nearly 10 years after their hit series ended. Over on Instagram, Perlman revealed he had dinner with Hunnam and a few other friends, including Edward James Olmos from SoA spinoff Mayans M.C. In the post's caption, Perlman introduced his dinner mates and jokingly referred to himself as "the obligatory olde fart."

Comedian and radio legend Rickey Smiley is mourning the loss of his son. Host of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, he took to Instagram to reveal the devastating news about the death of his son, Brandon Smiley. "I just had bad news this morning," Smiley began in the video. "I'm on my way to the airport to get to Birmingham. I want everybody to pray for me, pray for our family. Our son Brandon Smiley has passed away this morning. Lord have mercy, Jesus. Pray for Brandon's mother and his father Taurus and his sister Taylor, and everybody. I hate to announce this, but I just want to give it to you before you hear it in the streets," he concluded, noting that he wanted to let his fans know before news broke via tabloids. A cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Taye Diggs' girlfriend, Apryl Jones, shut down breakup rumors after some fans thought the couple split when they unfollowed each other on Instagram. She recently told The Shade Room that she and Diggs are still together. Moreover, they were heading to Atlanta to shoot a film soon, the former Love & Hip-Hop star revealed. Although Jones did not elaborate on the unfollowing situation, she said the move had no significance. She added that she and Diggs are grown "adults" who continue to care for each other regardless of whether or not they follow each other on Instagram. In an Instagram post on Jan. 17, the Best Man actor also assured fans that his beautiful relationship with Jones was still strong. In a photo posted on his Instagram account, Diggs, 52, and Jones, 36, held hands as they strolled around Paris.

Star Trek: Picard is boldly going where it has not gone before as the Paramount+ series released its first full-length trailer ahead of the popular show's third and final season. The first extended look at Star Trek: Picard premiered during Sunday's AFC Championship Game and reunited the iconic Next Generation crew of the USS Enterprise for its final 10-episode voyage, which premieres Feb. 16.

Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston are teaming up for a new twist on the body-swap comedy for Amazon Studios. The project, which does not have a title, will be written and directed by Max Brabakow. The filmmaker previously directed the critically acclaimed Neon/Hulu hit Palm Springs starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti.

Two Showtime series based on films were canceled on Monday as Paramount Global merges the premium cable brand with its streamer, Paramount+. Let The Right One In and American Gigolo will not get second seasons, reports Deadline. Paramount Global also passed on the already-completed Three Women, which will be shopped to other venues.

It's been known for a while that Danny Masterson would not be involved in That '90s Show, Netflix's new sequel series to That '70s Show. However, the question remained: How would the show address the absence of his character, Steve Hyde?
