ACTION NEWS 4. MIKE: STILL NO ARRESTS TONIGHT AND NO MOTIVE ANNOUNCED, FOLLOWING THE DEADLY SHOOTING OF 4-YEAR-OLD KAARI THOMPSON. THE LITTLE GIRL AND HER MOTHER, TEMANI LEWIS, WERE STRUCK BY BULLETS LAST THURSDAY IN A LINCOLN-LEMINGTON GROCERY STORE. LEWIS SUFFERED CRITICAL INJURIES IN THE SHOOTING. PITTSBURGH ACTION NEWS 4 HAS LEARNED LEWIS WAS SET TO GO ON TRIAL NEXT MONTH IN CONNECTION TO A DOUBLE SHOOTING BACK IN AUGUST. POLICE HAVE NOT SAID IF THOSE SHOOTINGS ARE CONNECTED. MEANWHILE, THE UNDEFEATED WESTINGHOUSE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM HAS BEEN PLAYING WITH HEAVY HEARTS SINCE KAARI WAS KILLED. SHE AND HER MOM ARE RELATED TO AN ASSISTANT COACH, AND THE FAMILY IS CLOSE TO OTHER STUDENT ATHLETES. The search continued Monday for the person who shot and killed a 4-year-old girl in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood.Kaari Thompson died after being taken to the hospital.Her family remembered her Sunday night while holding a balloon release at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Lemington Avenue right near where those shots rang out on Thursday.Watch Westinghouse Academy's football coach discuss the impact of Kaari's death on the team.The shooting also left Kaari's mother, Temani Lewis, in critical condition.Pittsburgh's Action News 4 has learned Lewis was set to go on trial in January for her connection to a shooting that left two people injured.That shooting happened back in August on Stranahan Street in Pittsburgh's Homewood North neighborhood.Lewis was charged with aggravated assault and attempted homicide.She posted a $50,000 bond.

Pittsburgh's Action News 4 has learned Lewis was set to go on trial in January for her connection to a shooting that left two people injured.

That shooting happened back in August on Stranahan Street in Pittsburgh's Homewood North neighborhood.

Lewis was charged with aggravated assault and attempted homicide.

She posted a $50,000 bond.
