Police have identified a victim found several months ago in a wooded area near Kaw Drive
Autopsy results have led to a homicide investigation in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department now believes foul play was involved with a body found on Sep. 15, 2022.
On Monday, police released the identity of a victim found in a wooded area in the 4200 block of Kaw Drive.
An individual walking in the area found the body of Ottoniel Agustin-Chavez, 41, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri.
Based on Agustin-Chavez's autopsy results, the case is being investigated as a homicide.
This incident is under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit.
