The Texas Department of Public Safety says 25-year-old Jaquille Carl Chefney was arrested Monday, Nov. 28, by state troopers and members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Chefney had been convicted of terroristic threat and sentenced to two years of probation back in 2020. A year later he was convicted of aggravated robbery and sentenced to six years of probation.
He had been on the run since February 2022, when the Austin Police Department issued warrants for his arrest for aggravated sexual assault and arson. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office had also issued a warrant for his arrest for a probation violation.
