Saint Louis hits the road to face the Iona Gaels in New Rochelle, N.Y., outside of New York City for its final nonconference road game of the year on Tuesday. Game time at the Hynes Athletic Center is set for 6 p.m. (CT).
 
The Billikens have won two in a row and are 7-2 so far in their challenging nonconference slate. SLU's hard schedule gets even tougher now as the Billikens are in the second game of a stretch where they play four straight against KenPom top 100 teams.
 
Iona enters Tuesday's game 4-2 overall and has won 18 consecutive games in their home gym the last two seasons under head coach Rick Pitino. The Gaels will be playing their third game in five days.

1 // Yuri Collins continues to hold the overwhelming lead in the NCAA in assists (107) and assists per game (11.9). The Cousy Award candidate has vaulted all the way to second in the NCAA among active Division I players with 661 career assists. He is the only player in the top five on the active career list who has played four years or less, as the others are utilizing their fifth year awarded by the NCAA due to the pandemic.

2 // Javon Pickett has led the Billikens in scoring in each of the last three games. He is coming off a career-high-tying 23 points in the win over Southern Illinois. Pickett scored a team-high-tying 15 points against Tennessee State and turned in a solid all-around effort at Auburn, leading the Billikens with 16 points, including 10 in the first half.
 
3 // Saint Louis leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense (80.9 ppg), rebounding (41.1 rpg), free-throw percentage (.774), assists (17.6 apg) and assist/turnover ratio (1.55).
 
4 // SLU head coach Travis Ford and Iona head coach Rick Pitino have a special relationship as Ford played for Pitino at Kentucky from 1991-94. This is the sixth time Ford has faced Pitino as a head coach, with Pitino holding a 3-2 edge in games thus far.
 
5 // This will be the third meeting between the teams in a series that is tied 1-1. Last year, Iona came Chaifetz Arena on short notice as both teams were looking for a game due to COVID cancellations. Fred Thatch Jr.'s offensive rebound and putback with less than 10 seconds left gave SLU the thrilling 68-67 win. The first game of the series came at the Budweiser Classic in Cork, Ireland, on Nov. 29, 1987. The Gaels defeated the Billikens 77-73 in overtime at Neptune Stadium.
