Milwaukee County prosecutors say Timothy Olson is under suspicion in Racine for the death of a woman
Milwaukee County prosecutors say Timothy Olson is under suspicion in Racine for the death of a woman on Nov. 8. Olson was already a person of interest in the death of a woman in South Milwaukee.
Racine police told WISN 12 News they would not discuss the investigation.
The new alleged crime, though, came out as Milwaukee County charged Olson with the kidnapping of a 79-year-old woman on Nov. 23.
The criminal complaint obtained by WISN 12 News on Monday said Olson made small talk with the woman at Casa Di Giorgio in Franklin. It said he followed her out to her car and forced his way in, claiming to have a gun.
"I won't hesitate to kill you," he told the woman, and she later relayed that to investigators.
Once in the car, the two drove around for 16 hours, making multiple stops. The criminal complaint said Olson made five fraudulent purchases on her credit card and forced her to drink whiskey.
She told investigators she did not remember anything else after that until she woke up six hours later.
She said she tracked down help in Greenfield after Olson got out of the car.
On Nov. 29, Olson was arrested by Franklin police officers as the suspect wanted for the kidnapping of an older woman and was a person of interest in two suspicious deaths.
These are the details of the criminal complaint.
On Nov. 24, Greenfield police responded to a call that a 79-year-old woman had been abducted.
A bystander saw the woman waving her hands from her car and immediately called 911. Greenfield police arrived at the scene and requested medical assistance after noticing that the victim seemed confused and sleepy.
The victim told police that her phone and credit card had been taken by the suspect that abducted her. Greenfield police determined the woman was likely kidnapped from the Casa Di Giorgio restaurant located at 3137 W. Rawson Ave. in Franklin and contacted Franklin police.
According to the complaint, the woman is a regular at Casa Di Giorgio and comes in approximately once a month for a glass of wine. She used to frequent the business with her husband when he was alive.
As she was sitting at the bar and reading her tablet, Olson sat down next to her and introduced himself as Mario. She stated they made small talk and left 30 minutes later.
After she entered her vehicle, Olson opened the passenger door and got into the passenger side of her car.
The defendant had one of his hands in his front pocket, said he had a gun, and told her to drive. "I won't hesitate to kill you," read the complaint.
After 16 hours, Olson told his victim he wanted to go to her bank. She responded by saying that banks were closed because it was Thanksgiving.
Finally, Olson pulled into a strip mall and left the car.
The defendant wasn't spotted again until Nov. 29, pushing a bicycle across West Rawson Avenue.
According to the complaint, officers told the defendant to stop, but the defendant did not comply with requests.
Officers eventually caught up to the defendant and directed him to lie on his stomach, but Olson did not comply. An officer then deployed his Taser, which appeared to have no effect on the defendant. Eventually, officers were able to gain control of the defendant and he was taken into custody.
