Another trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan's docuseries is here, and it's even more drama-filled than the last.
This morning, Netflix released the latest video on Twitter, as well as release dates for the series, announcing that Harry & Meghan will drop in two parts: Volume 1 on December 8 and Volume 2 on December 15.
In the video, Harry and Meghan are seen looking distressed about their relationship with Harry's royal family and their portrayal of Meghan in the British media.
"It's really hard to look back on it now and go, 'What on earth happened?'" Harry says, speaking of his and Meghan's time with the royals and the troubles that eventually led them to step down from their roles.
A photo of the royal family at the Trooping the Colour parade in 2019 is then shown, with Harry and Meghan standing next to Prince William, Princess Kate, and then Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, who are now king and queen consort. "There's a hierarchy of the family. You know, there's leaking, but there's also planting of stories," Harry says. "It's a dirty game."
Harry's mother, the late Princess Diana, went through a mental health decline and struggled with a serious eating disorder due to the lifestyle she was forced into when she became the Princess of Wales. Her life ended in a car crash, after being chased down the road by paparazzi.
In the teaser, Harry says he was "terrified" the same thing would happen to Meghan, as she, too, experienced severe mental health issues while working as a senior royal and has said multiple times she was repeatedly denied help. "I didn't want history to repeat itself," he explains.
"The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy," he adds.
"I realized, they're never gonna protect you," Meghan then says of the royals, as clips show a pregnant duchess looking stressed alongside Harry. Another clip shows her crying on the couch as her husband tries to console her.
The teaser also touches on the allegations of racism the Sussexes have made against the royal family. The couple's lawyer, Jenny Afia, tells the camera, "There was a war against Meghan to support other people's agendas."
"It's about hatred; it's about race," Christopher Bouzy, a longtime supporter of the duo, adds.
"No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth," Harry says at the end of the video.
Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the first trailer for the show, which offers a glimpse into their love story, as well as a look into their ongoing feud with the royals.
