A car crashed through the front of a Manchester bank on Monday morning, but no one was hurt.
Fire officials said a 73-year-old woman was pulling into a parking spot at the TD Bank on South Willow Street before 9 a.m. when her car jumped the curb and crashed through the front window of the building.
"The driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake and went through the glass window," Battalion Fire Chief Robert Beaudet said.
The driver was evaluated at the scene but declined to be taken to a hospital.
The impact toppled desks and sent glass flying through the bank, which was open at the time of the crash.
Beaudet said the branch's assistant manager typically sits at a desk in front of the window that the car crashed through, but she was not working Monday.
"It's very lucky that the people who were supposed to be there weren't there today and that the car went through the glass only and didn't do any structural damage to the building," Beaudet said.
The bank was closed for the rest of the day as crews cleaned up and repaired the window.
Police said they don't expect charges to be filed
