More On Notre Dame DL Grad Transfer Target Braden Fiske

Notre Dame didn’t know much about Braden Fiske before bringing the Western Michigan defensive line transfer in for a visit earlier this weekend.

The Irish got to know him a bit during the visit and apparently liked what they found out as they extended a scholarship offer to him during the trip.

Fiske had already landed offers from schools like Florida, Penn State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, West Virginia and Rutgers and has heard from schools like Oregon, Florida State and Miami.

We spoke with one source prior to the weekend to find out the potential grad transfer will bring to whatever program he ends up at.

The source said he liked Fiske’s tape.

“He brings versatility,” we were told. “He’s a veteran player. He’s got some ability.”

As ISD’s Matt Freeman reported on Sunday, an immediate decision isn’t expected.

But one source close to the situation believes Fiske will likely have a decision within the next week or so.
