Abnormal warmth continues for another day, high reaching into the upper 40’s from morning lows in the low 30’s with a wind shifted to southerly gusting to 25 mph. Cloud cover thickens and eventually leads to some light afternoon and early evening showers over the area as a weak front develops and moves inform the midwest, but most of the rain will have been scoured out by the Appalachians.

They talk many issues such as ARPA funds, the State of the State address, sales tax and car tax, housing, the appointment of Stefan Pryor and the budget and authority he has been given. Outdoors in RI: Hunters, hikers, bikers, dog walkers, horseback riders – wear your orange!
Noting that it is archery and small game season on the hunting calendar, the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) is urging all recreational users of state management areas and undeveloped state parks to wear 200 square inches of solid, daylight fluorescent orange clothing while using these areas. For public safety, wearing bright orange articles of clothing is mandatory during the designated hunting seasons. This winter, DEM has received many reports of non-compliance. Recreational users of these areas – including hikers, birdwatchers, people walking their dogs, etc. – who don’t wear orange are putting themselves at risk for accidental shootings, injuries, or worse.
