WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - Your First Alert Forecast continues with an uptick in temperatures across the Cape Fear Region with highs angling for the 70s Tuesday afternoon, after a start in the chilly 50s. Skies should stay fair and dry through, and likely a bit beyond, the 5:01 p.m. sunset.

Rain chances will bounce around from 30% Tuesday, to 10% Wednesday and Thursday, back to 30% Friday, and drop to 10% Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will have some peaks and valleys but ought to operate at above average levels for most of the period.

Postseason tropical or subtropical storm development is possible several hundred miles southeast of Bermuda this week. Should a storm eventually be named, it would be called Owen. Regardless of development, this feature is unlikely to affect the Carolinas in any way.
