JANELLE: STATE POLICE JUST RELEASED NEW DETAILS ABOUT A SCHOOL VAN CRASH THAT SENT THREE CHILDREN TO THE HOSPITAL. IT HAPPENED ON THE MORNING OF NOVEMBER 22 ALONG MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD IN HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY. STATE POLICE SAY THE VAN HAD STOPPED FOR A SCHOOL BUS AND HAD ITS RED LIGHTS FLASHING WIN ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT IT FROM BEHIND. State police released new details on Monday about a school van crash that sent three children to the hospital.The crash happened a little before 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 22 along Mount Pleasant Road in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County.State police said the van had stopped for a school bus and had its red flashing lights activated when another vehicle hit it from behind.A 72-year-old man on the school van and three children, all eight years old, were taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries.A 66-year-old woman on the van also suffered a suspected minor injury.The 25-year-old man driving the second vehicle involved was not hurt.Police said that driver will be cited for following too closely.
