NORMAL, Ill. – The 2022-23 Saint Louis Indoor Track and Field campaign kicked off on Saturday with the John Coughlan Invitational, hosted by Illinois State at the Horton Field House in Normal, Illinois.
 
The Billikens had several winners in the meet, including Myles Gascon who won the men's 60 meters with a new school-record time of 6.82.
 
Also bringing home individual wins on the men's side were Will Stewart (200 meters, 22.98), Malik Stewart (600 meters, 1:22.54) and Jayden Kouadio (triple jump, 14.04 meters). The Billikens 4x400-meter relay of Danny Hopkins, Luke Schaefer, Malik Stewart and Aidan Martin also took first.
 
On the women's side, Emily Sipp won the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:15.71. Madie Andorf was second in the 200 meters with a time of 26.48. Sara Wolf was second in the mile (5:33.39) and Angelina White was the runner-up in the weight throw (15.73 meters).
 
The Billikens are back in action on Friday (Dec. 9) at the Hoosier Open at the University of Indiana.
